Hello again, Parents and Gamers!

Welcome back for another article of The News. As I'm sure you guessed, we did not post any articles of The News over the weekend because nothing really notable happened over the last three days. BUT, with the week once again rolling, we have a new bit of information just for you.

Today's article will consist of 3 different sections, but all of them relatively light as they consist of just minor updates. First, we will begin by taking a look at the newly announced Assassin's Creed: The Americas bundle. Next, we will dive into information regarding the upcoming Batman: Arkham Knight video game and when you might get your hands on it. Last, we will tell you how to get two special edition Pokemon monsters for Free. Let's take a look!

For those out there who have never played the Assassin's Creed series, whether due to finances, opinion of the series, or just haven't gotten around to it, developers Ubisoft have announced something to make it a little easier for.

Ubisoft announced today that they will be releasing what they call the Assassin's Creed: The Americas bundle for those who haven't played the most recent iterations of this iconic series. The bundle is set to contain the three most recent titles that have been released including Assassin's Creed III, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, and Assassin's Creed Liberation: HD. The Americas bundle is aptly named because all three take place in the Americas during the birth of the United States and focuses how the fictional Assassins and Templars shaped this event. The bundle is set to release this month on October 3 in Europe and October 28 in North America, however a price point has not yet been delivered.

For those unfamiliar with the Assassin's Creed series, here's a quick run down. The series focuses on a modern day character, a man by the name of Desmond Miles for the majority of the games, who uses a fictional device called the Animus to experience the memories of his ancestors. In these "memories", players play a number of different characters who are part of the "Assassin's Guild". The Assassins are stealthy, highly trained warriors of freedom who pick off specific targets, often from the plotting Templar guild, who's goal is to control the world for the supposed safety and betterment of man-kind. The games take place in multiple parts of the world and multiple different eras in time. It is best qualified as Alternative History; taking realistic events or situations from history and putting a fictional twist on them.

Please note: Assassin's Creed is rated M for Mature by the ESRB of America. The game is recommended only for players over the age of 17. Most often, this is due to intense blood and gore, violence, and language.

One of the games that many people have been waiting patiently for this year will not be released until June 2, 2015. Batman: Arkham Knight

The Batman: Arkham franchise has been incredibly well selling. Featuring stunning visuals, a fantastic combat system, great performances from voice actors both old and new, and memorable situations, the games are recognized as being one of the best superhero franchises to ever be made. With that said, many people were elated to hear when Batman: Arkham Knight was announced earlier this year with a speculated October release date. Now, we're sad to say, that developers Rocksteady have announced we will not be saying this title until the beginning of June next year.

On the flipside, they have announced that the game will also have two different Limited Editions for those collectors out there. The Limited Edition is going to go for only $99.99 and will come with a special edition SteelBook case, a Batman Memorial Statue, an 80 page art book, a copy of the Batman: Arkham Knight #0 comic book, and three exclusive in-game skins from the New 52 comic book series. However, if you have deep pockets, they have also announced the Batmobile Edition which will come with everything above except it will trade the Memorial Statue for a "fully transformable Batmobile statue" from TriForce.

This month, players of the mega popular Nintendo 3DS game Pokemon X and Y will be able to get two special edition Pokemon for Free in honor of the upcoming Pokemon titles, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

All players will have to do is visit their local GameStop store in order to receive their free Pokemon. Between October 13 and October 26, GameStop will be giving out code cards for a special "Shiny Gengar" monster which will also have in it's possession a "Gengarite Mega Stone" item for use in game. The item will allow it transform into a more powerful monster called Shiny Mega Gengar.

After that, from October 27 through November 16, players can return to GameStop in order to get a second card for the mythical Pokemon, "Diancie". While this Pokemon will not have a special item like the Gengar does, it is incredibly rare and hard to find in the games, and it will be able to be transferred to the upcoming Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire where players will be able to find a "Diancite Mega Stone" so it may also evolve into a "Mega" version of itself.

Please note that the upcoming Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire come out shortly after that on November 21, 2014 for Nintendo 3DS and 2DS.
